Psychotherapy for Adults, Teens & Children

I support adults, teens, children, and parents who are seeking meaningful change, deeper self-understanding, and a more connected way of living. Together, we create space for clarity, healing, and growth.

I offer sessions in my Oakland office and online throughout California.

Connecting throuh Creativity

My work is collaborative and relational. We listen together and follow what feels most alive and compelling in the moment. We observe, reflect, clarify, and sometimes challenge the beliefs or patterns that have kept you from living more fully. In therapy, we make space for curiosity, for truth, and for the possibility of change—even when it feels distant. We challenge the quiet forces of passivity and the inner voices that say: you can’t change, it’s too late, there’s no hope. I don’t believe in quick fixes. I do believe in the power of presence, attention, and the right kind of relationship to support meaningful growth.

What I offer

I work with children, teens, and adults—adapting my approach to meet each person where they are, developmentally and emotionally. My style is warm, relational, and thoughtful—yet always pragmatic and guided by what’s most needed in the moment. Alongside talk therapy, I integrate somatic modalities that support deeper regulation, insight, and healing. I strive to offer a space that is inclusive, attuned, and deeply respectful of who you are—your identity, your story, and your way of being in the world.

About Me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #86497) with over two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and my Master’s in Social Work from the Smith College School for Social Work.

More About My Work

Since receiving my MSW in 2002, I’ve worked in a variety of community-based settings before transitioning to full-time private practice in 2019. My clinical orientation is psychodynamic and relational, and I draw from a range of modalities to meet each person’s unique needs. In addition to more traditional talk therapy, I also use somatic approaches—specifically Brainspotting and Somatic Experiencing. My work is informed by ongoing training in trauma-informed care and guided by a deep respect for the mind-body connection. My practice is inclusive and affirming across gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, class, and spiritual or religious background.

I approach each person as a whole individual—with their own story, strengths, and ways of making meaning—and I tailor my work to honor and support that. My clinical work is grounded in both individual connection and a broader commitment to community care. In addition to my private practice, I provide pro bono psychological evaluations for asylum seekers through the Bay Area Asylum Mental Health Project. This work involves collaborating with immigration attorneys to offer trauma-informed evaluations that support individuals and families seeking safety and protection. It reflects my belief that healing and mental health care should be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in human dignity.

My Services

Working with Adults

People often come to me when they’ve tried to manage on their own and feel ready for support that reaches beyond coping strategies alone. Together, we create a grounded space for real healing and lasting change.

You won’t be told what you “should” do. Instead, we slow down, listen closely, and make sense of your experiences together. You’ll learn to respond to yourself with more compassion, set clearer boundaries, and trust your inner wisdom.

Working with Children, Teens and Families

Children experience the world in profound ways, but they may not yet have the language to express what they’re feeling. In my work with younger children, we use play, art, and imagination to explore their inner world. This might include drawing, sandplay, puppets, storytelling, or other creative tools that allow them to communicate and process through doing rather than words alone.Just as with adults, therapy with children is rooted in trust and confidentiality. At the same time, caregivers play an essential role in the healing process.

Somatic Work: Supporting Healing Through the Body

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I integrate somatic practices into my work—approaches that help clients connect with and release experiences that can feel difficult to reach through words alone. I am trained in both Somatic Experiencing and Brainspotting, two modalities that work with the nervous system to gently process trauma, stress, and emotional overwhelm.

Safe & Sound + Rest & Restore Protocols

In addition to psychotherapy, I offer two sound-based, nervous-system-focused programs through Unyte: the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and the Rest & Restore Protocol (RRP). Grounded in polyvagal theory, these gentle interventions support regulation, resilience, and healing from trauma and chronic stress. They can be offered as a stand-alone service or as a complement to ongoing therapy.

Fees

My hourly fee is $210 for individuals and $240 for couples and families. I am also able to provide a limited number of sliding scale or low-fee spots within my practice. Please contact me to discuss this.
