About Me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #86497) with over two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and my Master’s in Social Work from the Smith College School for Social Work. Since receiving my MSW in 2002, I’ve worked in a variety of community-based settings before transitioning to full-time private practice in 2019.

My clinical orientation is psychodynamic and relational, and I draw from a range of modalities to meet each person’s unique needs. These include mindfulness, expressive and somatic approaches—particularly Brainspotting and Somatic Experiencing. My work is informed by ongoing training in trauma-informed care and guided by a deep respect for the mind-body connection.

I strive to create a therapeutic space that is inclusive and affirming across gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, class, and spiritual or religious background. I approach each person as a whole individual—with their own story, strengths, and ways of making meaning—and I tailor my work to honor and support that. My style is warm, relational, and thoughtful—yet always pragmatic and responsive to what feels most useful in the moment.

My clinical work is grounded in both individual connection and a broader commitment to community care. In addition to my private practice, I provide pro bono psychological evaluations for asylum seekers through the Bay Area Asylum Mental Health Project. This work involves collaborating with immigration attorneys to offer trauma-informed evaluations that support individuals and families seeking safety and protection. It reflects my belief that healing and mental health care should be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in human dignity.
